What is Digital Media?
Digital media is an on-demand access to content any time, anywhere, on any digital device, as well as interactive user feedback, creative participation. Another aspect of Digital media that ideas and work can be spread throughout all forms of digital media.
Digital media can be manipulated, networked, condensed, compressed, and interacted with. Some examples may be the Internet, websites, computer multimedia, video games, apps, CD-ROMS, and DVDs. Digital media does not include television programs, feature films,magazines, books, or paper-based publications – unless they contain technologies that enable digital interactivity for example 3D barred codes which can be used as links to websites and deals. Facebook is an example of the social media model, in which most users are also participants as well as Youtube which relies on their participants uploading videos and using advertising.
